VENTNOR CITY, N.J., Oct. 19, 2022 – Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Rothman Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship has named South Jersey-based F&S Digital its Family Business of the Year for 2022. The presentation will be made at Rothman’s annual awards program Oct. 19, 2022, at Glen Ridge Country Club in Glen Ridge, N.J.
Based in Ventnor City, F&S Digital specializes in creating websites, web and mobile apps, and custom solutions for a broad range of businesses and industries. Founded in 2019, F&S is a fully family-run business.
Part of Silberman College of Business since 1989, the Rothman Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship supports, promotes and researches entrepreneurship with a special focus on family- and veteran-owned businesses. The awards program recognizes the significant contributions to the economy and community made by extraordinary family businesses. Rothman has honored outstanding family businesses since 1992.
“We’re a family-owned business that loves helping family-owned businesses and others bring their digital dreams to fruition. This recognition by Rothman Institute validates all the hard work and dedication of our entire team in boosting the performance of countless companies across the globe,” said Francisco Vizcaino-Martinez, chief technology officer of F&S Digital. “We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished in just a few years, and remain committed to our mission of helping businesses succeed in the digital age.”

F&S Digital was co-founded by Frank Vizcaino-Marmol, a Dominican immigrant who pursued his dream of creating a small business in the Dominican Republic 13 years ago. After developing school administration software used by 10 schools throughout his home country, Vizcaino-Marmol emigrated to the United States with his family with the goal of further growing his business. Acclimating to a new land and new language, he brought his wife, nephew and niece on board, and incorporated “the family values of honesty, hard work, integrity and responsibility into the core values of our business,” according to F&S Digital’s nomination form.
Having grown from humble roots, Frank Vizcaino-Marmol sees value and potential in every business F&S Digital works with, regardless of size.
“We never look down on an organization for small beginnings, and we strive daily to find new ways to make technology accessible for our community. I saw firsthand how software completely changed the Dominican Republic school system, and I now get to see similar transformations every day,” he said.
